Writing webinar series for the Michigan Reading League

Writing is complex and it is challenging to know where to start. In this webinar series, Dr. Truckenmiller highlights the latest research on the teachable components of writing that have the greatest impact on overall writing achievement. The first episode of the webinar series gives an overview of the Direct and Indirect Effects of Writing (DIEW) model – which was developed and studied by Dr. Young-Suk Grace Kim. Dr. Kim makes a guest appearance in the episode.

In each of the other 4 episodes, Dr. Truckenmiller describes the implications for classroom instruction and assessment for one of the four components of the DIEW model. This webinar series was sponsored by The Reading League Michigan and features input from the The Reading League members and president of the Michigan chapter, Rebecca Miles.
